Celina's story

Hi! My name is Celina, and I’m a working student at Gomibo at team Service Journey. I study European Languages & Cultures and am part of a committee within a student association. Further, I love to read (always carry a book with me), do sports and go on city trips.
My experience at Gomibo
I found a job posting on the RUG website and decided to apply. I was immediately super motivated when seeing the description of the job and company.
How is it for you, as an international colleague, to work at Gomibo?
I feel integrated and have made many friends among my colleagues. I can connect well with my fellow internationals as well as the Dutchies. And of course the Borrels (red.: Friday Afternoon Drinks) do not hurt in that! We are a group of really driven colleagues and everyone always goes the extra step, you feel that within the entire company.
Can you tell a bit more about your job?
Of course! I currently work in the team Service Journey, where I am (among other things) busy with constantly updating our website with new information, for example regarding providers. Here, I am also creating my own pages and templates. Next to that, I’m currently working on a project regarding setting up a better collaboration between teams: in this case team Customer Service and team Service Journey!
Why would you recommend working at Gomibo to others?
The work is fun, really adds value to your work experience and your personal development. We do not stand still but are constantly growing. Be it as a company, among colleagues or personally. I have, for example, learned how to give feedback to others, that everyone can make mistakes and that we are all equal here. I can ask questions without being looked down upon. I can also voice my opinion and feel heard, which I really value in a company!
