Hi! I’m Finn, born and raised in Hamburg. When I moved to Groningen for my studies, I was looking for a student job. I applied for a customer service position at Belsimpel. To my surprise, I was invited to join the Provider Partnerships team instead, as the first German working student. I enjoyed it so much that decided to stay on full-time.

What do you do at Gomibo?
I love connecting with people, negotiating, and taking responsibility, and that’s exactly what I get to do here. I now work in the Gomibo Growth team, where I act as the link between external providers and our organization. From negotiating commissions and setting up campaigns to building strong relationships ( sometimes even during a football match), it’s all part of the job.

What makes Gomibo special?
The incredible drive within the team. Everyone is ambitious, and truly committed. At the same time, there’s plenty of room for fun. It feels like a young company, but with the impact of a market leader. As an international, I initially felt quite unique in a team full of Dutch colleagues, but it’s great to see how everyone adapts: everything is bilingual now, and you’re really welcomed and included, both at work and beyond.

What are some of the things you learned at Gomibo?
I’ve learned a lot here, from negotiating and intercultural communication to truly taking ownership. Your opinion matters, even as a student. And that makes the work not only educational but also incredibly fun.
