Trevell's story

Hey there! My name is Trevell and I’m currently working in the Gomibo Growth Team as a working student. I live in Groningen: a city I originally moved to for my studies (Psychology), but ended up staying because of the great atmosphere. In my free time, I enjoy sports like table tennis and football, gaming (FIFA and League of Legends), and watching sci-fi movies, like Star Wars and Spiderman.
Can you tell a bit more about your job?
I started in the German customer service team and worked my way up through different levels. Later, I joined the Provider Partnerships team, where I helped decide which mobile contracts we offer on our site. Now I’m part of the Gomibo Growth Team: a cross-functional team that works like a start-up within the company and is focused on growing our presence in Germany. I work closely with different departments and large providers like Vodafone and Telekom to improve our offers and performance.
What makes working at Gomibo fun?
There’s a lot of trust and responsibility, even for working students. The environment is fast-paced and open, and your ideas really matter – no matter your role or experience level. I also enjoy the international vibe and the strong sense of teamwork. It’s motivating to work with people who are so driven and supportive. I also really appreciate the strong sense of community here.
What have you learned so far?
I’ve learned a lot about data-driven decision-making, working with external partners, and thinking commercially – especially when it comes to pricing and promotions. I’ve also gained a better understanding of how different departments work together and how to take ownership of a project.
How is it for you, as an international colleague, to work at Gomibo?
It’s been a very positive experience. The environment is international and inclusive, and my German background was actually an advantage for my role. I’ve always felt welcomed and appreciated, both socially and professionally.
