Origin story

Gomibo Group (originally MobielWerkt B.V.) was founded in 2006 by Jeroen Doorenbos and Jeroen Elkhuizen. At the time, the telecom market was highly chaotic, with numerous providers all claiming to offer the best deal. The focus was on hitting targets rather than meeting customer needs. The two Jeroens decided to change the mobile world by truly putting the customer first.

National recognition

Having moved from a student room to an office on the Grote Markt in Groningen, Belsimpel steadily gained national recognition in the early 2010s. The animated TV commercials featuring founders 'Jeroen & Jeroen' went live, and the 100,000th unique customer signed up shortly afterwards.

Start-up

Students and housemates Jeroen Elkhuizen (left) and Jeroen Doorenbos had spare time and entrepreneurial drive. In an era where providers made outrageous offers to sell phone contracts, they came up with Belsimpel — a platform designed to be clear and, above all, honest!

This is what we stand for

Our core values

Our core values guide the way we work at Gomibo. They define what we stand for, what unites us, and how we interact with each other. For every decision you make, our core values help ensure you’re on the right track. They also allow us to assess whether you’re a good fit for our culture.

Customers first

No matter what your role is at Gomibo, the customer is always our starting point. We focus on solutions and treat our customers like family.

Pushing boundaries

High standards are the rule, not the exception. We take ownership of our growth to become true experts in what we do. The best idea wins — not your role or experience.

Think big, act fast

We think big and act fast. We experiment often, take calculated risks, and are not afraid to make mistakes.

Ownership

We take ownership of what we do: we take full responsibility, stay focused on what matters most, and finish what we start.

Open and honest

We work together as one team towards shared goals, and we celebrate successes together. We’re transparent, respectful, and honest. Feedback flows both ways, naturally.

Intervisie
