At Belsimpel, we consider your privacy and the safe processing of your personal data to be very important! We understand that you want to apply for a job at Belsimpel without any concerns about privacy and online security. We want that too! That’s why we’d like to show you how we handle your personal data.
Who is responsible for your data?

What data do we store and why?
Belsimpel collects personal data in different ways when you visit werkenbijbelsimpel.nl. Which data is collected depends on what you do on our website: do you visit the website without applying for a job or did we convince you to apply for a job with us? We are happy to explain which data of yours we process.
Offline and online recognition
When you visit our website, werkenbijbelsimpel.nl, we store your IP-address, click data and cookies. This enables us to always offer you personal job opportunities that match your preferences. If you are invited to our office for an interview, we will always know who you are beforehand. For your and our safety, we make camera images in our office, which we store.
Application process
If you have found an interesting job opportunity, that you would like to apply for, we will ask you to fill in some personal details. This way, we get a very good idea of who you are, what you can do and why you would like to work for Belsimpel.
During the application process, it is possible to sign up with your LinkedIn profile, or to fill in all the details yourself. We will need some personal details from you, such as your first name, last name, email address, date of birth, place of residence, telephone number and a profile picture. We ask you to send us a profile picture, so that we can recognise you when we invite you for an interview.
We also ask you to upload your Curriculum Vitae (CV) in the web form. Your CV will be used to determine whether you have relevant (work) experience that is appropriate for the position you are applying for. In your CV always include your first name, last name, date of birth, address and contact details. Never include your BSN or document number in your CV! To round off your application, we will ask you a number of questions about your motivation, which you can fill in yourself , because we would like to get to know you better.
Depending on the position you apply for, you will be given an assessment, in which you will be tested on your abilities. This assessment gives us a good picture of your abilities, such as your intelligence, social skills, motivation and career development.
Contact with team recruitment
When you contact our recruiters, we want to inform you as good as possible about our great jobs and opportunities at Belsimpel. For this purpose, we save the email conversations you have with our recruiters. It’s also possible that telephone conversations are recorded for training purposes. We will always tell you this before the phone call.
Sometimes we ask you to provide us with specific personal details during an email or phone call. We ask these questions in order to look up the correct application details in our database. We also make notes of our interactions and during one-to-one conversations, so that we know exactly what was discussed if you contact us again or if you are invited for an interview.
How do we handle the sharing and storing of your personal data?
Sharing of personal data
Your privacy is very important to us. Therefore, we only share certain or specific personal data with partners and third parties if this is really necessary, for example, to be able to properly process your application. We never sell your data to third parties.
In order to manage this properly, we have signed a processing agreement with all the parties with whom we share your personal data. This is a contract in which clear agreements are made about who is responsible for what data. There are several parties with whom we share your personal data:
- The data processor (such as telephony, sms, and email);
- Recruiting groups;
- Administration processors.
Most parties are based in the European Union and are subject to the General Data Protection Regulation. In some cases, we also share certain data with partners who are based in the United States of America (USA) and who are active participants in the European-American ‘Privacy Shield’.
Storing of personal data
We do not keep your personal data for longer than necessary when you apply for a job with us. Of course, we would like to know who has applied to us in the past. Besides that, we have a fiscal responsibility towards the tax authorities once you start working for us. This means that we store your personal data from a legitimate and commercial perspective in order to always be able to inform you in the best way possible about your application(s).

Protection of your personal data
We always ensure the best information security. Our website has a secure connection (recognisable by ‘https’ in the address bar). Besides that, we always use the best security software, so that your personal data is stored as safe as possible. This takes place on our own servers in the Netherlands.
We control and monitor all our employees, who has access to which personal data and we keep a record of who has seen which personal data. This way we always know what happens to your personal data. Besides that, all employees at Belsimpel have a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG), so we can be sure that everyone handles your personal data safely.
Your rights on your data
As a job applicant of Belsimpel you may always submit a request to inspect, correct, transfer or remove your personal data from our application file. You can do this with our recruitment team by sending an email to: werving@belsimpel.nl. We ask you to verify that it is you, so that we do not share your details with anyone else.
Deleting your data
Of course you can delete your data from our database if you have applied to us but were unfortunately rejected. Your request will be processed by team recruitment within 15 business days. You can submit your request by sending an email to: werving@belsimpel.nl.
